Youth Entrepreneurs Gets Additional Community Support
Hawthorn Bank in Independence presented a $1,000 check to the Youth Entrepreneurs program in the Independence School District, Tuesday April 12th. Funds donated to Youth Entrepreneurs help with personal development workshops and field trips. This is the first year for Youth Entrepreneurs in the Independence School District. The program teaches students how to develop a business plan and build the foundation for starting their own business one day. All students have to apply and go through the interview process to be selected to the program at each high school. Due to the success of the program, there is already a waiting list at Van Horn High School for students to apply to the program.
