Santa Fe Trail Elementary Celebrates with the Chiefs

Santa Fe Trail Elementary celebrated the last school day of 2011 with an assembly presented by the Kansas City Chiefs.  Santa Fe Trail was named one of the 16 elementary schools for Chiefs School Spirit by the Chiefs’ Football team.  The staff at Santa Fe Trail was recognized for their participation in the Independence Holiday Helper program through the support of Chief’s ticket sales.  Santa Fe Trail received a school banner for their Chief’s spirit and a Chief’s game ball that was monogrammed with the school’s name.

The Chief’s Assembly focused on health and fitness. The assembly led by former Chief’s linebacker Anthony Davis focused on eating a healthy breakfast and exercising daily for a total of 60 minutes.  Students also got to challenge KC Wolf on various physical and brain activities.  The assembly was drawn to a close with an all school team spirit photo.
