Pioneer Ridge Middle School celebrates reading goals, winter athletes and the special olympics tournament
PRMS Students Honored for Reaching Reading Goals
Pioneer Ridge Middle School students who reached their Accelerated Goals for 2nd
Quarter received achievement
certificates on January 25. 85 6th graders, 142 7th graders, and 119 8th graders met their second quarter goals.
Students meet with their Reading teachers at the beginning of each quarter to set new point goals, and goals are met if students reach their point goals with an 85% average correct on their quizzes. As reading skills improve, students gradually raise their point goals.
Independence Middle School Students Participate in Special Olympics Basketball
The Independence Middle School Special Olympics Team participated in the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament. The team consisting of: Connor Farrell from Bridger and James Collins, Kody Turner, Miles Hurt, and Victoria Pineda from Pioneer Ridge Middle School took gold by defeating two teams at the tournament.
PRMS Winter Assembly
The Pioneer Ridge Middle School Student Council put on their winter assembly after winter break. The orchestra played as students entered the gym. Winter sports players were introduced to the student body and then the fun began! Students and staff were entertained by a variety of Minute To Win It games, a trivia contest, and a relay race. The even culminated in the annual staff pieing. This year, even the teachers got in on throwing some pies!
