ISD Named Platinum Fit-Friendly Worksite by American Heart Association

Citing the district’s progressive health and wellness initiatives and commitment to employee health, the American Heart Association named the Independence School District (ISD) a Platinum Fit-Friendly worksite.
“You are among an elite group of awardees for this important initiative,” said Nancy Brown, the American Heart Association’s CEO. “We commend your efforts and look forward to seeing you continue to make great strides in the coming year.”

The designation is good through April 2016.
