William Chrisman’s cheer squad was recognized for their back-to-back state championships during ceremonies at halftime of the girls’ basketball game February 9.

The cheerleaders, who won their second straight title in October, received their championship rings, revealed their state championship banner and received recognition from the Missouri Senate.

“The ring ceremony was very touching and I am in love with the ring,” said Holli Ladd, Chrisman senior.

Senior Zoe Huggins was excited to be honored and play a part in the ring design process.

“It was exciting to be one of the seniors who got to decide what the ring looked like,” she said. “I’m really happy with how they look and I just want to show it off to anybody and everybody.”

Senior Morgan Ashby said, “The state rings are amazing and so much better than I expected.”

The ring ceremony caps a successful career for the senior cheerleaders, who will be honored again during Senior Night February 13.
