Members of the Automated Manufacturing Technology Team- Eric Waage, Jacob Moore and Dylan Dennis- brought home silver medals and Samantha Payne took silver in Architectural Drafting Skills. Payne, Bradley Horn and Abigail Stark also placed in the drafting competition. Students had to finish in the top three at the West Central SkillsUSA District competition to qualify for state. Gold medal winners at state advanced to the National SkillsUSA competition in Louisville.

“SkillsUSA is a very demanding competition and these students proved to be top in their fields by placing well in this competition,” said Verne Leutzinger, one of Chrisman’s SkillsUSA lead advisors. More than 2,500 secondary, vocational and post-secondary students competed in a variety of skills including culinary arts, nursing, construction, architectural drafting and diesel mechanics during the three day event.
