Truman High School Hosts Prestigious Reagan Debate

Students from eight western Missouri high schools competed for more than $50,000 in scholarship money at the regional Ronald Reagan Great Communicator Debate sponsored by the Ronald Reagan Foundation and the Reagan Library and held at Truman High School. Three Truman students- Ethan Williams, Lorinda Ruz, Karly Kinsey- finished fourth in the competition.

Organizers indicated the regional Reagan debate competition, designed to teach students how to communicate more effectively in public settings, could become an annual event at the school.
