deseProcter Elementary School was recognized as a bronze award winner for Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS) implementation. Presented by Missouri’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), the school will receive the award during ceremonies at the 10th Annual Missouri SW-PBS Summer Training Institute June 10 at Lake of the Ozarks.

“This is very exciting for Procter,” said Amy Hawley, principal. “Parents and students should be very proud.”

To mark the achievement, Procter will receive a framed certificate indicating bronze level status and a banner to display inside the school. Procter will also be listed on the Missouri SW-PBS state website with other recognized 2014–2015 schools.

“Congratulations to everyone at Procter,” said Margie Vandeven, Missouri’s commissioner of education. “You are very deserving of this recognition.”

Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS) programs create safe, orderly learning environments in Missouri schools, while improving the social and emotional wellbeing of students. Nearly 800 schools in more than 200 Missouri school districts participate in the program.
