Presented by the Independence School District (ISD), the Independence Health Department and the ISD Wellness Department, the expo features free dental, posture and foot screenings, BMI assessments, blood pressure checks and free sports physicals for ISD middle and high school students.

“Numerous local health and wellness businesses will also be there to answer questions and provide information,” said Levi Hinson, ISD wellness coordinator, “but the free sports physicals for ISD middle and high school students are obviously a big draw.”

Hinson said there will be something for everybody at this family friendly event. The evening features entertainment, food and several health-related giveaways and prizes. The district’s human resources and transportation departments will also be there promoting employment opportunities in the ISD.
