Two Truman High School students- seniors Eli Freeman and Alex Millard- have been named Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program. Each was presented a letter of commendation by THS Principal Pam Boatright. “These scholastically talented seniors have demonstrated outstanding academic success,” she said.

Freeman and Millard placed among the top five percent of the more than 1.5 million nationwide who entered the competition. Less than 35,000 students across the country earned Commended Student status.

“We hope this recognition will help broaden Eli’s and Alex’s educational opportunities and encourage them in their pursuit of academic success,” Boatright said.
