Early Education in the ISD

Posted July 12, 2016

Do you have a child between the ages of 3 and 5?  The Independence School District is expanding its early education programs.  We are currently taking applications for students to attend full and part-day pre-kindergarten during the 2016-2017 school year. We are preparing more than 900 students to thrive in kindergarten thanks to fabulous teachers using standardized curriculum.  Enrolling your child in the ISD Early Education program will enhance their self-confidence, knowledge, independence and social skills. The ISD’s Early Education programs are offered at 15 school sites around Independence.  Nutritious meals are provided.  The ISD is proud to expand our early education programs to serve more students and give them an extra boost as they prepare for kindergarten. Please call 816-521-5314 for more information. You can watch this video to learn about the Missouri Preschool Project, one program within the ISD’s Early Education Department.
