ISD Exceeding in Academic Achievement on APR

Posted November 14, 2019

The Independence School District once again showed significant growth on the Annual Performance Report (APR), our report card from the state of Missouri. The ISD scored in the exceeding category in all areas of Academic Achievement.

ISD Superintendent, Dr. Dale Herl says, “I am extremely proud of our academic success here in the ISD and want to share my thanks and appreciation to our staff, students and families. Our students continue to improve academically year after year and that’s a testament to our incredible teachers who make a difference in the lives of kids every day.”

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) released the data. The Annual Performance Report combines MAP scores with five performance standards (academic achievement, attendance, college and career readiness, graduation rate and subgroup achievement) to show how districts are meeting state standards.
