New Teacher Academy 2025

The New Teacher Academy is a program created to support educators who are new to the profession or district. We host this annual event just before school starts each year to provide guidance, resources, and collaboration opportunities to our new teachers. We also love getting to know them and helping them feel prepared and connected as they begin their careers with the ISD!

This year, we welcomed more than 120 teachers across all 30 ISD schools. The three-day event kicked off with a welcome from the Interim Superintendent, a parade of principals and new teachers from each school, and breakout sessions covering numerous topics including curriculum, school safety, and cultural proficiency. Teachers also took ID badge photos and heard presentations from the ISD Foundation and INEA and MSTA. It's an information-packed kickoff event, and it's one we look forward to every August!
