Phonological Awareness 

Count the number of syllables in these spring words: flower, butterfly, rain, planting, thunder, rabbit, sunshine Phonics 

Beach Ball Heart Words 

Get a list of heart words from your teacher, grab a cheap beach ball from the dollar store and write down the words in marker. Once you are finished toss the ball. Whatever word your right index finger lands on is the word you read. 

Fluency 

Listen to the story: My Butterfly Bouquet.

Write 3 sentences about your favorite spring activities and read them to a family member or pet! 

Vocabulary 

While at a store or on an errand with a parent make a list of the words you see spelled with the sounds in the vowel team ee and ea. 

Comprehension
