The following learning targets represent the major concepts studied and assessed in this course. 

August - December

• Independently locate materials within the ISD Library Media Center(s).
• Conduct research using multiple print and digital sources.
• Assess the credibility a source.
• Quote or paraphrase text avoiding plagiarism and providing basic citation information.
• Display digital citizenship and digital media literacy awareness .

January - May

• Use the library catalog to search for and place a hold on books.
• Utilize various digital resources available through the ISD’s partnership with Mid-Continent Public Library.
• Explore similarities and differences in reading written and digital text.
• Select text from a variety of genres and formats to read for enjoyment, to acquire knowledge, and to answer questions.
