High School Curriculum

The Academies of the Independence School District are personalized learning communities designed to guide students toward college and career success. The ISD launched this model for the 2015-16 school year, illustrating the district's forward-thinking approach to learning.  

Every high school student is enrolled in the Freshman Career Academy, which provides the foundational experience and academic tools that students need before continuing on to one of the five ISD Career Academies. In the Career Academies, students explore specialized pathways and courses tailored to their interests and future careers.
