Chamber Choir
The following learning targets represent the major concepts studied and assessed in this course.
Semester 1
Unit 1: Fall Concert
- Students will identify all major key signatures.
- Students can find do, mi and sol on the staff.
- Students will transfer knowledge of breathing, posture and vowel shapes into performance.
- Students will continue to master Sight Reading Factory level 2.
- Students will prepare for All District Choir auditions.
Unit 2: Winter Concert
- Students will sight read and sing scales a cappella.
- Students will sing their vocal part without piano.
- Students will transfer knowledge of breathing, posture and vowel shapes into performance.
- Students will continue to master Sight Reading Factory level 2 unison/part specific and intro to level 3.
Semester 2
Unit 3: Pre-Contest Concert
- Students will continue to sight read and sing scales a cappella.
- Students will sing their vocal part without piano.
- Students will transfer knowledge of breathing, posture and vowel shapes into performance.
- Students will continue to master Sight Reading Factory level 3 unison/part specific and intro to level 4.
Unit 4: Spring Concert
- Students will continue to sight read and sing scales a cappella.
- Students will sing their vocal part without piano.
- Students will transfer knowledge of breathing, posture and vowel shapes into performance.
- Students will continue to master Sight Reading Factory level 3 unison/part specific and intro to level 4.
