The following learning targets represent the major concepts studied and assessed in this course.

Theatre Communication and Teamwork
- Understand effective communication practices in Theatrical Spaces. ● Discuss different roles in productive teams.
- Implement best practices of theatrical designers and producers.
Basics of Stage
- Identify the types of stages
- Analyze the purposes, strengths, and weaknesses of different styles of staging
- Construct and Model a stage
Elements of Design
- Analyze exemplar productions for design elements
- Compare and contrast differences in design elements and the implementation
Foundations of Set/Costume/Lights/Sound/Prop Design
- Analyze best practices for each design element.
- Document process of production and design throughout each design element.
Design Team in Practice
- Plan, as a team, a full scale production from the design team’s perspective
- Synthesize individual design elements into a coherent vision for unrealized production
- Present renderings/model of design elements for an unrealized production.
Reflection
- Critique designs of various productions, both professional and personal.
- Respond to peers’ design choices
- Reflect upon personal design choices and set goals for future designs
