Painting I
Students will experiment, plan and make multiple works of art and design that explore a personally meaningful theme, idea or concept. Choose from a range of materials and traditional and contemporary artistic practices, following or breaking established conventions, to plan the making of multiple works of art and design based on a theme, idea, or concept.

September - Unit 1: Monochromatic value painting

- Students will complete projects that build and strengthen their painting mixing and painting techniques.
October - Unit 2: Shading
- Introduce mixed media and tools.
- Go over Blending Techniques.
- Demonstrate value
November - Unit 3: Observational
