Unit 1: Introduction to German

• Explain the benefits of learning German.
• Identify and use the German alphabet.
• Count and use numbers through 10.
• Use common greetings and goodbyes.
• Introduce oneself and others by name.
• Ask and answer common classroom questions.
• Complete a German music project.
• Recognize and use cognates.

Unit 2: Describe Yourself

• Introduce oneself and others.
• Use common greetings and goodbyes.
• Count and use numbers through 20.
• Ask and answer questions about age.
• Use transportation-related vocabulary and phrases.
• Describe how you are feeling.
• Discuss where you are from.

Unit 3: Freetime Activities

• Identify and use sports and hobbies vocabulary.
• Express likes and dislikes.
• Use vocabulary related to time and activities.
• Conjugate and apply common verbs in speaking and writing.

Unit 4: Family

• Identify and use family vocabulary.
• Create and present a family tree project.
