Semester 1 

Unit 1: History of Architectural Drafting:

• Lego Architecture 

Unit 2: Hand Sketching and Lettering: 

• Hand Sketching 
• Scaling Drawings 
• Perspective Drawing 
• Engineering Lettering Techniques 

Unit 3: Autodesk AutoCAD (Computer Aided Software): 

• Introduction to AutoCAD Drafting 

Unit 4: Autodesk Revit: 

• House Creations in Revit Computer Aided Drafting Software 

Semester 2 

Unit 5: Design Elements and Building Codes: 

• Past and Present Building Code Specifications 
• Design in “Today’s Society” 

Unit 6: Design Projects: 

• Students select various Design Projects to create 
• Working on Deadlines 
• Working in Groups 

Semester Final Project: 

 A large project incorporating all the year learning goals

Unit 9: 3D Prining: 

• Creating Solutions to Problems 
• 3D Printing using Inventor 

Unit 10: Working Drawings: 

• Explosion Views 
• Mechanical Assemblies 
• Complete Working Drawings
