Semester 1
Unit 1: Understanding Self as an Individual and as a Member of Diverse Communities
- Develop personal planning strategies to manage individual, family, and school responsibilities
Unit 2: Respecting Individual and Group Differences
- Identify interpersonal skills needed to maintain positive relationships
Unit 3: Promoting Acceptance and Respect
- Develop strategies to promote acceptance and respect within the school and community
Unit 4: Personal Safety and Coping Strategies
- Identify problem-solving, decision-making, and refusal skills needed to make safe and healthy choices
Unit 5: Personal Safety Awareness
- Identify behaviors that compromise personal safety for themselves and others

Unit 6: Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving
- Apply problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to new challenges
