Semester 1

Unit 0: History and Map Skills

Unit 1: Geography

• I can identify geographical features.
• I can explain the impact of geographical features on human societies.

Unit 2: Government

• I can identify and define the different types of governments.
• I can explain how different types of governments impact individuals and societies.

Semester 2

Unit 3: Belief Systems

• I can identify and define the different types of belief systems.
• I can explain how different types of belief systems impact individuals and societies.

Unit 4: Economics

• I can explain the basic principles of economics.
• I can explain how economics impacts civilizations and their relationships with one another.

Unit 5: Social Hierarchy

• I can explain the basic concepts of social hierarchy.
• I can explain how social hierarchies structure and challenge civilizations and the people who live there.
