The following learning targets represent the major concepts studied and assessed in this course.

Semester 1

Unit 1: Line

• Define lines
• Identify the use of lines in artwork
• Apply lines within personal artwork

Unit 2: Space

• Identify positive and negative space
• Use space to create perspective
• Create a sense of depth in artwork

Unit 3: Texture

• Apply colored pencil techniques to create texture
• Replicate implied textures
• Apply actual texture through multimedia

Unit 4: Color / Value

• Identify primary colors
• Identify secondary colors
• Define and replicate value

Unit 5: Shape / Form

• Identify shape and form
• Create sculptures utilizing form
• Create one-point perspective forms
