The following learning targets represent the major concepts studied and assessed in this course.

Semester 1

Unit 1: Creating

• Memorize lines for performance
• Gather and cite evidence to support arguments
• Share leadership and collaborate in rehearsals
• Use multimedia or technical elements to enhance performances

Unit 2: Performing

• Use staging and pacing to enhance storytelling
• Portray characters using voice and movement
• Participate in performance exercises
• Compare and evaluate different versions of a script or production

Unit 3: Speaking & Listening

• Use appropriate delivery skills in presentations
• Organize ideas clearly
• Evaluate and refute arguments
• Engage in collaborative discussions
• Reflect upon and critique performances
