How to Log On

• Students will use Seesaw to access lessons and Google Meet links.
• Teachers will post the day’s schedule and meeting links by 9:00 AM.

What Students Will Need

• Printed take-home AMI learning packet
• Chromebook or tablet
• Internet access (or printed work packet if offline)

Attendance

Students are counted present if they:

• Attend at least one live Google Meet -or-
• Turn in their completed AMI work the next school day.

Communication

Teachers will be available throughout the AMI day by email for questions or support.

How to Log On

• Teachers will post the day’s schedule, links to lessons, and the Google Meet links in Parent Square by 9:00 a.m.
• Specials and Support teachers (SPED, EL, Counselor, etc.) will post lessons or send links as needed.

What Students Will Need

• Printed take-home AMI packet for Math, ELA, and other core subjects.
• Chromebook / tablet and Internet access (if accessing lessons online or joining Google Meet).
• Students are expected to wear school-appropriate attire and keep cameras on during synchronous instruction.

Attendance

Students are counted present if they do one of the following:

• Attend at least one live Google Meet
• Turn in their completed AMI work the next school day

Communication

• Teachers will be available throughout the AMI Day through ParentSquare messaging and email for questions or support.

AMI Day Schedule

What is an AMI Day?
An Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Day allows students to learn from home when school is closed due to weather or emergencies.  Students will complete learning activities through Canvas to be counted as “present.”  AMI days would start on the 6th day school is closed due to weather or emergencies.

Lunch	12:00-12:30 (30 minutes)
Tutoring Support	12:30-1:30 (60 minutes)

• Students are expected to wear school-appropriate attire and keep cameras on during synchronous instruction.

  
  *Middle school students will take their Chromebooks and Chromebook chargers home ahead of potential inclement weather.

Students are counted present if they:

• Attend the synchronous session or submit the AMI class assignment prior to the start of their next in-person class with that teacher.

Communication

• Teachers will email all their students through Canvas on the AMI day with the assignment to be completed prior to their next in-person class with that teacher.
