Federal Programs & Student Support
The ISD receives federal funding to support academic achievement, family engagement, and equitable access to learning opportunities. We administer these programs in alignment with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and DESE guidelines.
TITLE I – Improving Academic Achievement
Purpose: Title I provides supplemental support for students who need additional academic assistance to meet grade-level expectations.
Our Goals:

TITLE III – English Learners
Supports English learners through:
- Language development instruction
- Sheltered classroom strategies
- Cultural and family engagement
- Assessments and academic supports
MCKINNEY-VENTO HOMELESS EDUCATION
Ensures students experiencing homelessness have:
- Immediate enrollment
- Transportation assistance
- School stability
- Access to meals, supplies, and academic support
- A designated Homeless Liaison for family support
MIGRANT EDUCATION PROGRAM
Supports students whose families move for seasonal agricultural work with:
- Academic support
- Health and dental services
- Enrollment assistance
- Collaboration with community agencies
