Independence School District Pre-K Screenings for the 26-27SY have started.
Location & Boundaries
Placement is determined based on your Elementary Home School Boundaries or designated sister schools. You can find these on the district website at: https://www.isdschools.org/our-district/boundary-maps. Residency will have to be verified afer July 1st.
The schools listed below currently house Pre-K classrooms. The list can also be found in the Early Education Family Guide.

Placement & Eligibility
- No Gurantee of Placement: Completion of a Pre-K Screening does not gurantee acceptance or placement into the ISD Pre-K Program.
- Priority Status: Families who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch programs will be given priority placement. Families who do not qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch may be placed in the program on a parent-pay, tuition basis, provided space is available.
If your child's birthday is between 08/01/2021 - 07/31/2022, you may qualify for free Pre-K in the Independence School District.
