Building Coaches | Instructional Coaches

Instructional Coaches partner with teachers and staff to strengthen teaching practices and support student success. They provide job-embedded professional learning, model best practices, and collaborate with educators to meet the diverse needs of all learners. In the ISD, those who support the district are called "District Coaches" and those who are assigned to specific schools are called "Building Coaches."

What We Do

Working with Your School's Building Coach

Most often, instructional coaches connect with families through the teacher or school principal. You might not always have face-to-face connection with this person as their work is done in and through the building, but please reach out to your school with any curriculum-specific questions, and they'll work to get you the correct answers.

Please also visit our Curriculum page for grade-level overviews and specific outlines of what your student is learning in class.

A group of people, wearing matching blue and white shirts, are standing on a staircase in what appears to be a large indoor building.
A group of people wearing blue and yellow shirts are gathered in an outdoor setting with lush greenery and a stone structure in the background.
