Our Family Services team is committed to supporting every student and family with both developmental needs and critical support during times of hardship. Our department connects families with essential resources, services, and advocacy to ensure all children have access to opportunities that support their academic, emotional, and physical well-being.
Who We Are
Family School Liaisons (FSLs) are essential support professionals assigned to every ISD school. We collaborate with students, families, staff, and community partners to remove obstacles that hinder learning and student success. FSLs provide personalized referrals and connect families to critical resources including healthcare, counseling, emergency assistance, and more.
Rooted in a strengths-based, family-centered approach, FSLs view families as active partners in the educational journey. In addition to responding to immediate needs, we offer proactive, preventive support focused on child development, mental and physical wellness, safety, and overall family engagement.
Our goal is to create lasting partnerships that empower families and enrich each the student learning experience.
