Salary Schedules
A salary schedule is formal document that outlines the pay structure for employees, typically based on factors such as job position, years of experience, and level of education or certification. It serves as a guide to determine the salary ranges for various positions within our district for multiple positions, including teachers and support staff.
Our salary schedules are organized into steps and columns:
-
Steps: This represents years of experience. As employees gain more years in the district, they move up steps on the salary schedule, increasing their pay.
-
Columns: This represents the level of education or additional certifications. Employees with higher levels of education or additional credentials (such as a master’s degree or specialized certification) may move across columns for a higher salary.
The salary schedule ensures pay equity and transparency within the district, making it easier to understand how salaries are determined and providing a clear path for salary progression. These are brought before and voted on by the Board of Education every year.
