Chrisman Special Olympics Athletes Win Gold Medals at Metro Track Meet

Several William Chrisman special athletes won gold medals at the Kansas City Metro Area Special Olympics Track Meet at Lee’s Summit North High School and advanced to the State Summer Games at Missouri State University in Springfield May 29-31.

Earning gold medals were:

Shaquana Hobbs, Victoria Pineda, Christopher Crane and Ben Kettlewell- 100 meter dash

Viola Roberts- 100 meter walk

Samantha Snow, Juliana Taisi, Mark Craft, and Shaquana Hobbs- mini javelin

Viola Roberts- softball throw

Samantha Snow, Mark Craft, Michael Lunceford and Shaquana Hobbs- running long jump

Juliana Taisi and Victoria Pineda- standing long jump.

 

Other medal winners included:

Viola Roberts – mini javelin (silver)

Christopher Crane – mini javelin (bronze) and softball throw (silver)

Ben Kettlewell – mini javelin (silver) and running long jump (silver)

Michael Lunceford – mini javelin (silver)

Isaiah Young – mini javelin (bronze), running long jump (silver) and 100 meter dash (silver)

Victoria Pineda – mini javelin (silver)
