ISD Students Win First in Job Olympics

Posted May 9, 2023

Students from William Chrisman High School earned first place in the Eastern Jackson County Job Olympics, an opportunity to develop job skills and compete against student teams from other districts in the area. During the competition, students rotated across multiple real-life stations, including a big box store, several food shops, a hardware store, fitness center, movie theater, and nursing home/day care. Students showcased the skills required to hold jobs at these places, and then participated in mock interviews in order to ‘apply’ for the roles. Truman High School and Chrisman High School represented the Independence School District at this event.
